Job Summary

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and residential HVAC/R systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures while performing preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Lead, mentor, and assign daily work activities to HVAC Technicians and apprentices, conducting quality inspections and training on safety procedures and troubleshooting techniques. Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and manufacturer specifications while maintaining accurate maintenance records. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and communicate professionally with internal departments, vendors, and guests regarding equipment conditions and project timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical controls, refrigeration cycles, motors, compressors, pumps, and building automation systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and construction drawings
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, attics, ceilings, rooftops, and elevated work areas
  • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring dexterity and coordination
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors under varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including prolonged exposure to hot weather, direct sunlight, high humidity, and cold conditions
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and fall protection equipment
  • Ability to respond to emergency service calls, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments
  • Local travel between company properties or service locations

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited HVAC trade school or associate degree in HVAC Technology or a related field
  • NATE Certification or other recognized industry certifications
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience with commercial facilities, hospitality, casino, healthcare, or industrial environments
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of refrigeration principles and EPA compliance requirements
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
