Job Summary
Respond to residential HVAC service calls, diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, and perform preventative maintenance and tune-ups. Educate homeowners on system operation, identify repair versus replacement opportunities, and generate qualified leads for the installation team. Promote and enroll customers in maintenance membership programs while maintaining accurate service records and keeping the company vehicle stocked. Deliver a five-star customer experience during every visit. This role drives service revenue and membership growth for a growing residential HVAC company in Des Moines, IA.
Required Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience as a Lead HVAC Service Technician
- Experience independently managing a service truck and daily route
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on residential HVAC equipment
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and ability to build trust with homeowners
- Ability to identify repair versus replacement opportunities ethically and confidently
- Comfortable discussing memberships, system upgrades, and replacement options with customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- NATE Certification
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software
- Experience with high-efficiency HVAC systems and heat pumps
- Sales aptitude with a customer-first approach
