Job Summary
Lead Installation Technician to manage residential HVAC installations including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, IAQ products, and related components. You will guide junior installers, communicate with customers, and ensure all work meets company standards, safety guidelines, and local codes. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and installing ductwork, performing start-up, testing, and basic diagnostics, maintaining organized tools and truck inventory, training Installation Assistants on proper practices, completing installation forms and customer sign-offs, and upholding safety and ethics. Requires reading blueprints and installation manuals, knowledge of HVAC equipment and electrical, refrigerant and duct systems, and strong customer-service skills; EPA certification is required with NATE preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background/drug screening. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and working in attics or confined spaces. Location: Naperville, IL.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, duct design and installation requirements
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals
- Skilled in electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Able to pass background check and drug screen
- EPA Certification required; NATE Certification preferred
- Must have appropriate hand and power tools
