Lead HVAC Engineer

Job Summary
Lead HVAC system design, load calculations, and equipment selection while ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards, Qatar Civil Defense requirements, and project specifications. Approve detailed engineering drawings, technical reports, and material submittals, then coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams to align with design intent. Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality, resolve technical issues, and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC systems. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while enforcing health and safety protocols and promoting energy-efficient solutions. Requires MME/UPDA license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency in HAP, Carrier E20, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- MME/UPDA License (Mandatory)
- Minimum of 10 years in a similar senior HVAC engineering role
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as HAP, Carrier E20, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP
- Strong understanding of ventilation, chilled water, DX systems, VRF/VRV, and air distribution systems
- Knowledge of international and local HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.)
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability
- Exposure to construction environments and varying weather conditions
- Extended working hours based on project deadlines
