Job Summary
Maintain utility and storage rooms, wash beds and mattresses, and clean medical equipment including wheelchairs and stretchers. Clean dayrooms, replace table linens, and empty trash twice daily. Remove soiled linens, prepare hampers for incontinent products, and transfer clean linens to units. Oversee daily assignments and other supervisor responsibilities if the supervisor is absent. Clean shower rooms at the end of shift and replace drapes and cubicle curtains as needed. This role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting objects over 50 pounds. Shifts are available from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. at Friendship Health and Rehab North in Roanoke, VA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of SDS manuals, infectious/biohazard waste and environmental protocols
- Must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day
Desired Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience preferred
