Lead Housekeeper

Job Summary
Lead the evening housekeeping team to ensure all Solivita amenity buildings and common areas are cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for residents and guests the following day. Assign daily work, conduct quality inspections, and respond to emergency cleaning requests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Train new team members on proper procedures, monitor attendance and performance, and report maintenance issues or supply shortages to management. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, complete shift reports, and secure designated areas according to company procedures. Ensure all equipment is used safely and stored properly at the end of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 1+ years as a Houskeeper or similar position
- Prior experience managing and leading a team
- Knowledge and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under tight deadlines and use time effectively based on key priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate command of computer hardware/software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to stoop and bend
- Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level
- Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone
- Visual ability correctable to 20/20
- Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a lead or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical cleaning tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to urgent situations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure and utilize good judgment during emergency/difficult and stressful situations
- May be required to travel for training sessions off-site
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed
