Job Summary
Lead Hosts are responsible for host training, maintaining training manuals, and upholding guest-service standards. They greet and seat guests, handle phones, take reservations, maintain guest counts and wait times, and assist with coat-check duties. Essential functions include training and developing host staff, welcoming guests, managing reservations and messages, communicating effectively, multitasking calmly under pressure, and moving/handling chairs, tables, and equipment. The role requires flexible hours including weekends, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk during shifts, and adherence to safety, sanitation, and allergy procedures. Additional duties include onboarding new-hire paperwork, conducting ongoing host training, maintaining training materials, observing service standards, updating zoning procedures, phone etiquette, table clearing, and guest inquiry responses. Proficiency with reservation, telephone, paging, and voicemail systems is expected, along with a team-oriented attitude and alignment with company policies.
