Job Summary
Lead Hematology Technologist - Laboratory, conduct daily diagnostic analyses in assigned pathology areas, applying knowledge of techniques, quality control, and instrumentation to ensure accuracy. Manage workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction, and troubleshoot problems to initiate timely corrective action. Assist the Director in technical management by ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including monitoring accreditation standards and addressing deficiencies. Train new and current team members, students, and staff on departmental policies, competencies, and performance improvement projects. Provide feedback on team performance and participate in the interview process for candidates. Entry-level position with an hourly wage range of $31.83 to $49.34. Requires an Associate Degree in a related field and minimum two years of experience. Located in a vibrant coastal community, joining an inclusive team focused on patient health and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years in a related field
- Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public
- Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience
- Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving
