Job Summary
Provide call support and process medical record requests accurately and confidentially in compliance with HIPAA. Assist the Supervisor with inventory management, Healthsource queue oversight, and prioritization of urgent requests. Serve as a subject-matter resource for team members on ROI workflows, EMR navigation, and SOPs. Support client and internal escalations with timely follow-up, facilitate training sessions, and mentor new hires. Perform data entry, faxing, and scanning duties while maintaining professionalism with patients, providers, and clinical staff. Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST, with weekly local travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be from an Accredited Institute recognized by the State Dept. of Education
- Willingness and ability to travel locally on a weekly basis as needed
- Proficiency with computers, email systems, and standard office equipment
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to stay organized while working quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Passing annual Introductory HIPAA examination
- Required to take and pass a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher
- Post-offer health screenings
- Proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical records, HIM, or Release of Information (ROI)
- Supervisory or lead experience
- Previous production/metric-based work experience
- In-person customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
- Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders
