Job Summary
Lead and direct production associates in assigned areas, performing supervisor responsibilities during absences. Manage hold areas, review and initial production boards hourly, and conduct daily 6-S audits to resolve issues. Utilize SAP schedule and customer forecasts for production scheduling, review OEE information daily, and maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts. Assure associates have proper P.P.E., are trained on equipment, and receive communication on quality or process changes. Coordinate safety improvement projects, participate in injury 5-why corrective actions, and create work instructions for new processes. Complete shift notes daily and evaluate operator performance regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of all equipment within the assigned area
- Ability to train others on equipment
- Ability to safely and efficiently perform all assignments
- Ability to effectively train future individuals
- Understanding of SAP
- Understanding of IMS
- Ability to perform the supervisor's responsibilities in their absence
- Ability to assure associates have proper P.P.E.
- Ability to follow all established company policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to coordinate safety improvement projects
- Ability to participate in injury 5-why corrective actions
- Ability to determine tools needed for production and acquire them
- Ability to review and initial production boards on an hourly basis
- Ability to perform daily 6-S audits and follow up to resolve issues
- Ability to utilize SAP schedule and customer forecasts to perform daily production scheduling
- Ability to lead and direct production associates on a daily basis
- Ability to manage hold areas and assure timely disposition of product
- Ability to lead meetings with production associates to discuss established objectives and improvements
- Ability to review OEE information daily and assure accuracy in raw data
- Ability to assure proper training is provided for new quality or process changes
- Ability to assure all production associates are properly trained on equipment with documentation support
- Ability to provide thorough and clear communication to supervisor regarding production problems
- Ability to complete shift notes on a daily basis
- Ability to work with supervisor to evaluate operator performance issues regarding safety, quality, and efficiency
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts and inventory adjustments
- Ability to lead and participate in corrective action or continuous improvement activities
- Ability to create and/or assist with work instructions for new and existing processes
- Ability to attend future training as deemed necessary
