Job Summary
Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions; complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures; follow guidelines on sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol, tobacco); maintain an organized work area; promote products using suggested selling methods; deliver quality service to every guest; handle guest complaints and issues per company processes; determine break schedules and team member placement; assist with deli, cleaning showers/restrooms, stocking, and coffee; model behaviors aligned with company purpose and ensure support for guests and team members; ensure compliance with rules and procedures; perform additional duties as assigned. Pay starts between $12.60 and $17.85 per hour with benefits including medical, dental/vision, 401(k), FSA, adoption and tuition reimbursement, flexible schedule, and weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
- Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
- Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
- Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
- Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
- Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
