Job Summary
Lead- Functional Safety responsibilities include applying ISO 26262 throughout the automotive product development lifecycle, developing Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC), performing Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), and using safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, DFA). The role requires strong automotive electronics background (power electronics, inverters, DC-DC converters, electric machines), familiarity with vehicle networks (CAN, LIN), and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations beyond ISO 26262. Candidates should have experience with the V-model process in safety-critical environments, quantify risk and mitigation strategies, and communicate complex safety concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency with DOORS, IQ-RM, MATLAB/Simulink, Rhapsody, and AI tools, plus demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, take ownership, and drive tasks to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in applying ISO 26262 across automotive product development lifecycle
- Knowledge of HARA, FSC, TSC, safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, DFA)
- Understanding of safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, PMHF) for hardware and software
- Strong background in automotive electronics and power electronics
- Familiarity with CAN/LIN vehicle networks
- V-model development process experience in safety-critical environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, cross-functional collaboration
- Self-starter with ownership of tasks and delivery
- Tools: DOORS, IQ-RM, Reliability workbench, MATLAB/Simulink, Rhapsody, AI tools
