Job Summary
Lead Full-Stack Platform Engineer responsible for shaping the data platform at KBRA, partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate strategy into a multi-quarter technical roadmap, and owning architectural decisions for the data lakehouse ingesting 30+ data sources via Snowflake, S3 external tables, and associated pipelines. Collaborate across engineering, design, product, and platform teams to build, run, and support systems; drive CI/CD, IaC, and acceptance testing standards; mentor engineers and act as code-owner across IaC, data-lake, and application repos. Required skills include expert Python (Flask, Dash, Dask, Pandas), strong AWS (S3, IAM, SQS, Lambda, IRSA), Terraform at module-author level, advanced SQL and Snowflake capabilities, and experience designing high-throughput ETL workflows. Nice-to-have: .NET, Azure services, MongoDB Atlas, Datadog APM, Auth0, GitLab CI at scale, and familiarity with Generative AI tools. The role offers a base salary range of $110,000 to $160,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Expert Python (Flask, Dash, Dask, Pandas)
- Deep experience with AWS (S3, IAM, SQS, Lambda, IRSA)
- Terraform module-author level
- Advanced SQL and Snowflake (external tables, MVs, performance tuning)
- Experience designing high-throughput ETL over diverse formats (Parquet, JSON, CSV, XML, zipped archives)
- Experience with CI/CD, IaC, and acceptance-test (BDD/behave) standards
- Mentor engineers and code ownership across IaC, data-lake, and application repos
