Job Summary
Lead Full Stack Engineer responsible for building and maintaining front-end and back-end components across a Citi Finance Technology platform. Collaborate with global stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain scalable software solutions using React and Node.js, with Java/Spring-based services, microservices architecture, and containerized deployments. Drive architectural discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment practices while mentoring engineers and aligning delivery with risk/compliance requirements. Key tech focus areas include React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java/Spring, microservices, API development, cloud (AWS/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD, and observability tools. Strong emphasis on quality, TDD, automated testing (Jest, Cypress, JUnit, Mockito), and collaboration across multidisciplinary, global teams. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience; prior experience in Financial Services or large-scale corporate environments is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of strong experience in full stack development using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java/JVM languages (Java, Kotlin), and microservices
- Experience in building robust, scalable applications in financial services/Capital Markets tech
- Experience with UI development using React and modern JS tooling; strong API development and integration skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP); containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, similar)
- Strong testing and quality practices (Jest, Cypress, JUnit, Mockito); experience with TDD
- Proven ability to lead teams, perform code reviews, and guide architecture/strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration across global teams
