Job Summary
Lead Frontend Engineer responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of complex frontend features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Drive performance, accessibility, and maintainability through reusable components and design systems. Oversee API integrations (REST/GraphQL), ensure scalable frontend solutions, and uphold best practices in responsive UI, cross-browser compatibility, and internationalization. Act as technical authority within a cross-functional squad, own delivery from planning to production, conduct peer code reviews, mentor other developers, and collaborate with design, backend, DevOps, and product management to deliver high-quality experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of frontend engineering experience
- 4+ years of production experience with React.js and Next.js
- Strong fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+)
- Experience with building and scaling large component libraries or design systems
- Deep understanding of API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL)
- Proficiency in frontend performance tuning, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse audits
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, AWS)
- Strong background in headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Optimizely, Sitecore, Sanity)
- Soft skills: problem-solving, independent work, communication, Agile/Scrum
