Job Summary
Manage footwear engineering activities from development to production, championing improvements that enhance efficiency, product quality, and factory partnerships. Deep dive into existing technologies to identify state-of-the-art engineering solutions aligned with premium quality strategies. Maintain clear communication with sourcing, factory, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment from concept through mass production. Drive projects with milestone planning while identifying development risks and implementing practical solutions to keep products moving forward. This role sits within the Footwear Development & Engineering Sourcing team, collaborating closely with Creation, Product Operations, Materials, Sustainability, and Costing functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Footwear Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 7 years' relevant industry experience in footwear including development, manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering, and tooling engineering
- Solid understanding of product fabrication, tooling, materials, and manufacturing methods
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and simultaneously manage several projects requiring innovative ideas and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
