Job Summary
Monitor and record proper food temperatures, set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, and prepare and serve food items. Restock food areas, clean and sanitize equipment, and receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register. Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers while complying with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers. Demonstrate ability to work independently, stand for the majority of the day, and walk far distances.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to perform basic math
- Possesses an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
- Demonstrates ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances
- Depending upon location of hire, Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame, typically one year
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Depending upon location applying for, a minimum of two years experience in food service preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Depending on location, may be required to complete Diet Therapy Class and pass Diet Therapy exams
