Lead Floor Care Technician

Job Summary
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff by performing all phases of floor and carpet care programs, including dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, spot cleaning, and extracting. Coordinate yearly and monthly maintenance frequencies, complete scheduled assignments, and remove biohazard materials and trash from the receiving dock and Skilled Nursing areas. Assist in training team members on floor care procedures, perform quality assurance functions, and maintain equipment while adhering to Laurel Lake standards of conduct and mandatory in-services. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with availability for weekends and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous experience stripping and waxing of hard surfaces
- Must have previous experience in cleaning and extracting of carpeted areas
- Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 lbs
- Ability to push equipment on wheels weighing a maximum of 250 lbs
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime when required
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate preferred
