Job Summary
Lead Flight Software Engineer for Special Programs responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and verifying flight software for high-performance space vehicles. Architect real-time systems for propulsion, attitude control, and autonomous functions; develop detection and mitigation for anomalies; mentor a team of flight software engineers; support ground, environmental, and on-orbit operations. Requires a Bachelor's in a related engineering field, 5+ years in embedded C/C++ for aerospace, and experience with real-time, embedded Linux, and mission-critical software. Preferred TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a track record delivering spacecraft flight software, integrating software with hardware, and collaborating with suppliers/government customers. Compensation discussed with banding; full-time benefits include stock options and medical/dental/Vision and a 401(k). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience developing C/C++ code for embedded systems in aerospace
- at least 1 year in a technical leadership role
- Demonstrated experience of computer architecture, operating systems, deterministic real-time execution, and embedded networking
- Experience with Embedded Linux in mission-critical environments
