Job Summary

Coordinate daily shop activities, assign work orders, and provide hands-on guidance to a team of mechanics maintaining tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Conduct advanced troubleshooting on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and hydraulic components using diagnostic software to identify root causes and verify repairs. Monitor compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies by performing and validating inspections while ensuring accurate documentation in the fleet maintenance system. Optimize preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and support on-time deliveries, while managing parts inventory and coordinating with vendors for urgent roadside repairs.
