Job Summary

Coordinate daily shop activities, assign work orders, and provide hands-on guidance to a team of mechanics maintaining tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Conduct advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical components while performing preventive maintenance to ensure fleet safety and regulatory compliance. Monitor DOT and OSHA policies, validate inspections, and optimize maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Manage parts inventory, coordinate with vendors, and mentor technicians while enforcing safe work practices. This role supports US Foods' transportation operations, ensuring reliable delivery to 300,000 restaurant partners through technical expertise and team leadership.
