Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop activities by assigning work orders, conducting advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems, and providing hands-on coaching to a team of mechanics. Perform and validate preventive maintenance inspections to ensure fleet assets meet safety and regulatory compliance standards while optimizing schedules to minimize downtime. Manage parts inventory, coordinate with vendors for repairs, and mentor less-experienced technicians to enforce safe work practices. This role supports US Foods' Transportation & Logistics operations, ensuring reliable delivery of food and supplies to over 300,000 restaurant partners through continuous improvement and technical expertise.
