Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop activities by assigning work orders, conducting advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, and coaching technicians on complex repairs. Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime while ensuring strict compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies through validated inspections and accurate documentation. Manage parts inventory, coordinate with vendors for repairs, and mentor less-experienced mechanics to maintain an inclusive shop culture. Support transportation leadership in prioritizing urgent breakdowns and optimizing fleet reliability for on-time deliveries across the network.
