Job Summary

Coordinate daily shop activities, assign work orders, and provide hands-on guidance to a team of mechanics maintaining tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Conduct advanced troubleshooting on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and hydraulic components while performing and validating DOT, OSHA, and company safety inspections. Monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors for urgent roadside repairs. Ensure all documentation, including repair orders and maintenance logs, remains accurate in the fleet system. Lead by example on the shop floor, mentoring technicians and enforcing safe work practices within a team-oriented culture.
