Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop activities, assign work orders, and provide hands-on guidance to a team of mechanics maintaining tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Conduct advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical components while performing complex repairs and preventive maintenance. Monitor compliance with DOT, OSHA, and safety policies by validating inspections and ensuring accurate documentation in the fleet maintenance system. Optimize preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors for urgent roadside repairs. Lead by example in a hands-on shop environment, mentoring technicians and enforcing safe work practices to support on-time deliveries to restaurant partners.
