Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop activities by assigning work orders, conducting advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems, and performing complex repairs on tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Oversee a team of technicians through hands-on coaching, mentoring, and enforcement of safety protocols while ensuring all DOT, OSHA, and company compliance documentation is accurate in the fleet maintenance system. Optimize preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and manage parts inventory by coordinating with vendors and evaluating new tools. Assist in roadside repairs and support transportation leadership in prioritizing urgent breakdowns to ensure on-time deliveries to restaurant partners.
