Job Summary
Perform hands-on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a mixed fleet of gas and diesel vehicles, including Ford Transits, Mercedes Sprinters, buses, and luxury SUVs. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, AC, suspension, and brake issues while leading and mentoring junior technicians. Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules, SOPs, and track vehicle downtime, parts inventory, and costs. Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors and ensure DOT compliance and safety standards. This hands-on leadership role supports company growth with a competitive salary of $75,000–$95,000.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of strong fleet or commercial vehicle maintenance experience
- Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across gas and diesel engines
- Self-motivated
- organized
- able to work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with buses, shuttles, vans, and commercial AC systems
- Previous lead or mentoring experience
