Job Summary
Lead Fleet Maintenance Technician Lead at OnTrac, stationed onsite at Fremont, CA. Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fleet trailing equipment in accordance with federal/state regulations and company standards. Supervises fleet maintenance technicians 1 and 2, collaborates with Safety leadership to ensure safety programs are followed, and may use a company or personal vehicle to conduct business. Requires knowledge of semi-trailer and conveyor systems, industrial electrical/controls, and preventive maintenance; emphasizes safety, OSHA requirements, and a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (HS or equivalent)
- College degree strongly preferred
- Five+ years of experience as a semi-trailer maintenance technician
- Three years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of semi-trailer and conveyor systems and controls
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical and industrial controls
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures including 90-day inspections
- Ability to work in a safety-conscious environment
- Strong supervisory and team-lead abilities
- Willingness to support 24-hour operations
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Valid work authorization in the U.S.
