Lead Fitter Welder

Lead a team of welders and perform complex repairs by joining, surfacing, and fabricating metal parts using manual, automatic, and semi-automatic welding equipment. Apply appropriate processes to repair welds, weld clips and hardware, and execute full penetration welds to poles or channels. Position pieces in jigs and fixtures, lay out weld points according to blueprints and schematics, and inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. Maintain quality, efficiency, and all required records while observing standard safety practices. Assist with task completion to meet deadlines and may train lower-level staff. Requires minimum four years of experience, certification for horizontal and vertical welds, and ability to maintain 90% pass rate on UT inspection.
