Job Summary
Lead Firmware Engineer responsible for architecting and driving complex firmware subsystems from concept to production. Own technical lifecycle, define standards for performance, security, and scalability, and mentor the Krakow firmware team. Drive architecture discussions, establish modular software patterns aligned with global platform visions, and lead robust test automation and CI/CD initiatives. Role requires deep RTOS/bare-metal expertise (Zephyr), BSPs and device-tree configuration, experience with ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V, and hands-on debugging. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential in a cross-functional, Agile environment; on-site collaboration in Krakow is expected at least 3 days per week. The position emphasizes technical strategy, code quality metrics, and continuous improvement of developer workflows to boost squad velocity.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of embedded software engineering
- 3+ years in a technical lead or architectural decision-making role
- Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ for embedded environments
- RTOS/bare-metal architecture understanding
- Zephyr RTOS experience with BSPs and device tree
- ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V familiarity with low-power optimization
- Experience delivering in Agile/Scrum
- Excellent communication in English
- Willingness to work on-site in Krakow at least 3 days per week
