Job Summary
Lead the Fire Sprinkler Division as the designated Texas RME-G license holder, serving as technical authority for all projects from layout through final acceptance. Sequence field work, manage material procurement, and review system layouts against NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards before installation. Mentor sprinkler fitters and apprentices while resolving technical questions for clients, general contractors, and regulatory agencies. Requires current Texas RME-G or P.E. license, NICET Level III/IV certification, and 6+ years of fire protection experience. Required Qualifications
- Current Texas RME-G license in good standing — or a current Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with willingness to complete the required statutes exam.
- NICET Level III or IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout.
- At least 6 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler design and/or installation.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and coordinate installations with other trades.
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Level IV, or progress toward it.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation and layout software (AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, or similar).
- Project experience in healthcare, education, government, or data and telecom facilities.
- Prior experience leading crews, mentoring apprentices, or building out a service or install team.
