Lead Finish Carpenter - Commercial Millwork/Cabinets/Trim -Traveling Position
Job Summary
Lead Finish Carpenter who can oversee and install cabinets, casework, wall panels, column wraps, millwork and standing and running trim in commercial and retail environments. Responsibilities include managing and motivating crews (3-8 people), interacting professionally with clients, general contractors and sub-contractors, communicating with the Project Management Team, interpreting layouts and drawings, evaluating site conditions and schedules, identifying non-contract scope and generating added work changes, and maintaining working knowledge of architectural/shop drawings and shop plans. Requires five years of installation experience, at least one year of supervisory experience, high school or trade school education, OSHA 10 or 30 and Forklift/aerial lift certifications, ability to travel 2-8 weeks, willingness to work overtime and potentially overnight shifts, and owning basic hand tools. Travel and construction safety are emphasized, with compensation based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School, Trade School or Equivalent
- Experience: Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience
- One year minimum supervisory experience
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Training will be provided as needed)
