Lead Finish Carpenter - Commercial Millwork/Cabinets/Trim -Traveling Position
Job Summary
Lead Finish Carpenter responsible for overseeing and performing cabinet, millwork, and trim installations in commercial/retail environments. Requires five years finish carpentry experience with at least one year supervisory experience; must interpret layouts, manage crews (3-8 people), interact with clients and subcontractors, and maintain project schedules. Travel 2-8 weeks at a time; duties include installation of cabinets, countertops, standing/running trim, wall panel systems, and retail fixtures; stringent safety and QA practices, time/expense reporting, and site coordination. Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, forklift, aerial lift (training provided). Required Qualifications
- High School, Trade School or Equivalent
- Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience
- One year minimum supervisory experience
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Forklift
- Aerial lift
- CPR/First Aid Training (required by company)
- Pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to work overtime 40-60 hours
- Ability to travel 2-8 weeks
- Provide own basic hand tools and cordless drill
