Job Summary
Lead Finish Carpenter role overseeing and installing cabinets, casework, wall panels, column wraps, millwork and standing/running trim in commercial and retail environments. Responsibilities include managing 3-8-person crews, interpreting architectural/shop drawings, coordinating with project management, communicating with clients and subcontractors, ensuring site safety, and maintaining inventory. Travel is required (2-8 weeks at a time) with overtime 40-60 hours per week; certifications: OSHA 10/30, forklift, aerial lift (training provided); pre-employment drug screen, background check, and CPR/First Aid training; must have basic hand tools and cordless drill.
Required Qualifications
- High School, Trade School or Equivalent
- Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience
- One year minimum supervisory experience
- OSHA 10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Training will be provided as needed)
- Capable of managing and motivating others
- Able to interact professionally with clients, general contractors and sub-contractors
- Clear communication with Project Management Team
- Personnel management of crews 3-8
- Interpret layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements
- Working knowledge of architectural drawings, shop drawings and floorplans
- Receive, stage and manage inventory of millwork and fixture parts
- Perform cabinet installation, trim, wall panel systems, retail fixtures
- Submit time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically
- Commitment to site safety
- Ability to travel 2-8 weeks
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Overtime and flexible shifts
- Overnight projects may occur
