Lead Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for Zoetis Global Manufacturing & Supply. Perform variance analysis for material usage, purchase price, volume, and spending variances while supporting forecasting and annual operating plans. Manage standard costing for new products and oversee inventory activities including distressed inventory and write-offs. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements while preparing documentation for internal and external audits. Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and decision support. Participate in daily operational tier meetings and contribute financial perspectives to manufacturing performance discussions. Work in a fast-paced environment supporting continuous improvement initiatives and complete other finance-related projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years progressive finance or accounting experience
- Previous manufacturing cost accounting or product costing experience
- Authorization to work in the US for Zoetis
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, inventory accounting, or plant finance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate at various levels across the organization
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple and diverse projects
- Detail oriented, responsive, and proactive
- Fosters clarity, transparency, consistency, and widespread understanding across the organization
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated high level of customer focus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a member of a collaborative team
- SAP experience
- 3 days/week in-person in the Zoetis Kalamazoo GMS office
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 5% of the time
- Frequent work with global teams located in multiple time zones
