Job Summary
Lead the R&I and V&I budgeting and planning process, including RBU, MTP, and Budget, in collaboration with the FP&A Lead Germany. Own the monthly close for these business units, ensuring high-quality execution and forecast accuracy. Prepare in-depth financial analyses of budgets, forecasts, and actuals for senior management review, triangulating financials with market insights to identify key drivers. Lead preparation of presentations for country visits and manage local financial planning for R&I and V&I. Coordinate closely with cross-functional areas like Pricing & Market Access and AIMs, while driving efficiency through AI and process optimization. Identify growth opportunities and propose resource reallocations for brands within R&I and V&I. Participate actively in S&OP meetings to ensure growth and forecast accuracy. Report directly to the Country CFO for AstraZeneca Germany.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant university degree
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the finance/controlling area
- Fluent in English
- Good handling of SAP, Excel, Business Intelligence Software, and other analytical tools
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of the (German) pharmaceutical market
- Demonstrated (direct/indirect) leadership experience in the finance area for more than 5 years
- Very good analytical thinking and numerical understanding
- Confident handling of complex tasks, pronounced analytical and strategic skills; critical and quick thinking; decision-making ability as well as goal orientation
- Ability to influence cross-functional decisions, motivation of employees without direct reporting line
- Very good communication and presentation skills, ability to present complex relationships simply, experience with senior management presentations
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility as well as teamwork
- Willingness to take risks, action-oriented behavior, high flexibility in a dynamic work environment, willingness to further develop oneself and the status quo
- Demonstrated excellent skills in dealing with teams and social competence
- International mobility for further development is highly desired
