Lead Finance Business Partner, Europe

Job Summary
Lead quarterly and monthly financial analysis across UK and Continental Europe product lines in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS 17. Produce reporting decks, assist local Exco reporting, and serve as the key contact for regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements. Coordinate annual plan submissions and quarterly forecasts with Heads of Valuation, ensuring alignment with guidance and strategy. Manage annual budget submissions for Europe, including direct expenses, headcounts, and IUC charges, while supporting expense KPI understanding. Act as a financial expert for stakeholders, guiding committees and providing input on European strategy updates. Liaise regularly with the Head of FP&A, Financial Controller, and key management to drive problem-solving and solution recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant qualification with prior audit experience preferably within a leading global audit firm
- At least 5 years post articles/training experience within a similar team, preferably with life insurance experience or within finance function of a financial services company or accounting firm
- Prior team management experience
- Proven reinsurance experience
- Experience working with a multi-national company with a diverse geographic structure
