Job Summary
Lead and manage a crew of AV field technicians on residential job sites while serving as the main on-site point of contact for project execution. Assign daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow, install and configure residential AV systems including audio, video, control, and networking, and interpret system drawings. Troubleshoot complex systems, ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed, and communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, and other trades. Train and mentor junior technicians while maintaining excellent attendance and professionalism. This foreman-level role requires 5+ years of residential AV experience and strong leadership skills for a stable full-time position with competitive compensation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in residential AV installation and integration
- Strong knowledge of AV and control systems (Crestron, Control4, Savant, RTI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of home networking and Wi-Fi systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Long Island
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Lead Technician or Foreman role preferred
- CTS / CTS-I or manufacturer certifications (Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron)
- Experience with large custom residential projects
