Lead Field Technician

Job Summary
Lead and perform field service activities involving rotating equipment installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance at customer sites and shop environments. Independently execute complex mechanical work on pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, and blowers while providing technical direction, coaching, and support to Field Technicians and less experienced employees. Coordinate field activities to ensure safe, efficient completion of assigned work, complete accurate service reports and documentation, and communicate professionally with customers and project teams. Maintain compliance with company safety policies, HSE procedures, and customer requirements while identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, mechanical repair, rotating equipment, or industrial maintenance
- Experience independently troubleshooting and repairing industrial rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
- Ability to provide technical direction and support to other technicians
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading field service activities or serving as a senior technician
- Experience repairing pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, blowers, or similar rotating equipment
- Experience with precision alignment, inspections, balancing, vibration analysis, or equipment testing
- Experience working in power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Technical training, apprenticeship, military mechanical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one
- OSHA or industrial safety certifications
