Job Summary
Lead Field Engineer – Civil to supervise all field civil engineering activities for an airport/airfield project. You will oversee construction of runways, taxiways, aprons, terminal foundations, pavements, drainage systems, and other civil structures, ensuring work aligns with design specifications, drawings, and technical standards. You’ll mentor field teams, coordinate with project managers, design engineers, QA/QC, and contractors, monitor progress, implement corrective actions, conduct site audits, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and prepare regular site reports. Strong leadership, on-site supervision, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of civil construction methods and airport-specific requirements are essential, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and contracts and to manage field teams toward timely, quality completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction and field engineering for airport or large infrastructure projects
- Proven experience supervising runway, taxiway, terminal, and pavement works
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, materials, and quality standards
- Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and airport-specific requirements
- Professional certifications such as PE, PMP, or equivalent (desired)
- Experience with airport-specific civil works, including ICAO-compliant pavements, drainage, and airfield structures (desired)
- Familiarity with construction management software, reporting tools, and digital documentation platforms (desired)
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced multi-disciplinary environments (desired)
