Job Summary
Lead Field Engineer responsible for turn-key delivery of DDC/building automation systems, owning install, commissioning, and troubleshooting while delivering full software solutions (sequencing, graphics, alarms). Provide technical leadership and mentor junior technicians, act as a trusted advisor to customers, and coordinate with Project Managers to manage risk and ensure reliable delivery. Travel as required and stay adaptable to shifting project priorities. Demonstrates deep proficiency with ALC products, building automation architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines to deliver safe, high-performance systems in complex environments. Maintains expert-level documentation including commissioning logs and progress tracking to ensure compliant delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC
- Valid, current Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (squatting, climbing)
- Capable of working over 8 feet, proficient with ladders and motorized lift equipment
- Willingness to travel as needed
