Job Summary
Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team of Field Access Managers, establishing clear performance expectations, capabilities, and field execution standards. Develop and execute field access strategies that improve patient access, reduce reimbursement barriers, and support successful product launches and lifecycle management. Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Patient Services, HUB vendors, Specialty Pharmacies, Sales, and Commercial Operations to optimize patient support processes and resolve systemic access challenges. Monitor and improve key access performance metrics, including time to therapy, prior authorization approvals, prescription conversion, abandonment, and specialty pharmacy fulfillment. Analyze payer, HUB, specialty pharmacy, and claims data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and inform access strategies and operational improvements. Serve as the organization's field access subject matter expert, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership and ensuring compliant execution of all access-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in market access, field reimbursement, patient services, specialty pharmacy, or related commercial functions
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing field-based access, reimbursement, or market access teams
- Deep understanding of payer policy, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization processes, specialty pharmacy distribution, and patient support programs
- Experience working with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds
- Proven success launching specialty pharmaceutical products and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to translate complex access challenges into practical business solutions
- Experience working in a fast-paced commercial launch or growth-stage environment
