Job Summary

Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic testing while administering injections, immunizations, sutures, and wound management. Prepare accurate medical records in the EMR and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness. Act as the clinic leader when the Practice Manager is absent, mentoring new-graduate providers and allied staff through preceptorship. Collaborate proactively with team members to coordinate patient dispositions and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Requires Master's degree, DEA license, and BLS certification; full-time role with $5k sign-on bonus available. ConvenientMD is building a team in New England focused on improving patient and provider experiences in urgent care.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • certification by Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
  • DEA license with no restrictions
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems (EMR)
  • Strong knowledge of: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Strong knowledge of: Applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA and applicable state rules and regulations pertinent to medical practices
  • Strong knowledge of: Relevant drugs and their chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo
  • Strong knowledge of: Non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, their applicable uses, and relevance to patient care
  • Strong knowledge of: Current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills: Willing and able to mentor provider as well as non-provider clinic staff
  • Excellent team player: Enjoy collaborating with others and being a part of a strong team dynamic
  • Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal): Foreshadows and elevates concerns as they arise, unafraid of professional directness both with colleagues and patients
