Job Summary
Lead Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at ConvenientMD in an Urgent Care setting. Serve as clinical leader for the urgent care team, mentoring new-grad providers and allied healthcare professionals while delivering patient-centered care. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, physical exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, administering injections and immunizations, wound management, patient education, and ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance with infection-control, HIPAA, and state regulations. Act as a preceptor and mentor, support team collaboration, and participate in continuing education to maintain clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities. Requires Master’s degree and NP certification, a valid DEA license, and BLS certification, with preferred experience in emergency or urgent care environments.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and certification by Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting preferred
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent team collaboration and communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements for medical practices
- Understanding of clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles
- Experience delivering patient-focused care and health education
- Ability to prepare complete medical records and ensure compliance with policies
