Job Summary
Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic tests while administering injections, sutures, and wound management in our urgent care clinic. Interview patients, review medical histories, and provide therapeutic counseling on wellness and family planning. Prepare accurate EMR documentation, maintain infection-control protocols, and collaborate with providers to coordinate patient dispositions. Mentor new-graduate providers and allied staff as the clinical leader when the Practice Manager is absent. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and publications while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and certification by Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
- Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred
