Job Summary
Lead Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at ConvenientMD in an urgent care setting, acting as a clinical leader and mentor to new-grad providers and clinic staff. Responsible for patient-centered care including health assessments, physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, administering injections and immunizations, wound management and suturing, patient education on health, and wellness. Ensures accurate documentation in EMR, maintains infection-control standards, ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA/OSHA), and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to plan coordinated dispositions. Provides mentorship and preceptorship for staff, supports professional development, and participates in continuing education. Requires Master's degree and NP certification, DEA license with no restrictions, and BLS certification; relevant emergency/urgent care experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and NP certification from an NP certifying body
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross (no online-only or ACLS/CPR accepted)
- Relevant clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred
