Job Summary
Lead Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at ConvenientMD leads clinical staff in an urgent care clinic, mentors new-grad providers and allied health staff, and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, physical exams, obtaining and reviewing medical histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (x-rays, ECGs, labs), performing therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, wound management), educating patients on health, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance in EMR systems. The role requires DEA licensure, BLS, a Master’s degree with NP certification, and hands-on experience in urgent care/emergency settings. The Lead Provider will collaborate with the clinic team, provide mentorship, and contribute to ongoing professional development and adherence to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- DEA license
- BLS certification
- Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Proficient with EMR and clinical management systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Excellent team player and communication skills
- Proactive and confident communicator
