Job Summary
Lead Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at ConvenientMD in an urgent care setting, serving as a clinical leader and mentor for new-grad providers and allied healthcare staff. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments and exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing therapeutic procedures (injectables, suturing, wound care), patient education and counseling, meticulous documentation and EMR management, adherence to infection-control policies, and collaboration with the clinic team to plan coordinated dispositions. The role emphasizes mentorship, continuous professional development, and leadership within the clinic to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and certification by Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.
- Relevant experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred
- Strong leadership skills and mentorship abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems (EMR)
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations and applicable state rules
- Knowledge of clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment procedures
- Familiarity with patient care aids and pharmacology relevant to outpatient care
