Job Summary
Manage daily waste and recycling operations, including staffing, work areas, collection routes, and schedules to ensure timely task completion. Collect, sort, and transport materials from designated areas while properly separating general waste, recyclables, and production waste according to company requirements. Operate waste carts, hand trucks, and compactors; perform routine equipment inspections and report issues promptly. Maintain 5S standards in collection points and storage areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workplace. Coordinate with Production, EHS, and other departments to resolve operational issues and continuously improve staffing, routes, and work methods.
Required Qualifications
- English and/or Mandarin
- Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or waste management
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to turn at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
- NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
- FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
- DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
- FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software
- Be mechanically inclined
- Proficient in the use of hand held and power tools
- Self-driven able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Be able to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- General Safety & OSHA Training – OSHA General Safety, Hazard Communication (HazCom), and basic Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) awareness
- PPE & Injury Prevention Training – Proper PPE use and cut-injury prevention
- Waste Handling Safety Training – Broken Glass Handling and Sharp Waste Disposal
- Emergency Response Training – Chemical Spill Response and Fire Extinguisher Use
- Equipment Safety Training – Forklift Training/Certification,Equipment Operation Training
