Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair community facilities, equipment, and building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and minor electrical work. Perform preventive maintenance, complete work orders, and coordinate contractor access while monitoring vendor performance. Assign daily tasks, provide technical guidance to staff, and coach less-experienced employees. Respond to emergencies, after-hours calls, and weekend coverage as required to ensure buildings remain safe and functional. Maintain records, inspections, and inventories while adhering to safety policies and OSHA standards. Lead the team by establishing priorities, communicating project status to the Facilities Director, and supporting operations during supervisor absences.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum three years of facilities, building, property, HOA, hospitality, or maintenance experience
- Experience performing repairs in multiple building trades
- Lead worker, crew lead, or supervisory experience
- Experience with pools, spas, pumps, motors, water systems, irrigation systems, and general building maintenance
- Have or will obtain Pima County Pool Certification
